Another day, another huge win for Cheverus softball

PORTLAND—After beating rival Windham Monday afternoon, Cheverus' reigning Class A state champion softball team didn't have much time to rest on its laurels.

Not with the undefeated Gorham Rams paying a visit to Shea Field Tuesday.

And the Stags would be pushed to the limit, mentally and physically, but they still found a way to prevail in a pivotal midseason contest.

Because that's what champions do.
