Waynflete girls overcome slow start to beat NYA

PORTLAND—After a relatively easy start to the 2025 season, Waynflete's girls' lacrosse team, the reigning Class C state champion, has found the going much tougher this week.

After losing at Scarborough Tuesday, the host Flyers found themselves down early to longtime rival North Yarmouth Friday afternoon at Fore River Fields, but they responded in style and earned a victory that will pay big dividends down the road.
